To lead a vibrant, Christ-centered youth ministry for students in grades 6–12 that forms disciples who know, love, and follow Jesus in the Wesleyan tradition. The Youth Director will create a safe, welcoming environment for spiritual growth, fellowship, relational ministry, and outreach, while partnering with parents and the entire congregation at Mooreville Methodist Church. Core Responsibilities (All Candidates): • Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings on Sundays and Wednesdays (Bible teaching, worship, small groups, discipleship, and fun). • Provide at least one intentional relational visit per week (home, school, coffee shop, or activity) for pastoral care and discipleship. • Plan and chaperone Revive Youth Camps each summer (revivetexas.org). • Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders. • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents. • Attend staff meetings and ensure all ministry aligns with GMC theology, creeds within the Book of Doctrine and Discipline, and Mooreville Global Methodist Church’s mission. • Model holy living, personal devotion to Scripture, and a vibrant prayer life Qualifications: • Committed follower of Jesus Christ with clear alignment to Global Methodist Church doctrine and Wesleyan theology. • Genuine love for teenagers and proven ability to build trusting relationships. • Gift for teaching the Bible to youth in an engaging, age-appropriate way. • Background check, safe-sanctuary training, and reference checks (mandatory). • Preferred: Enrollment or willingness to enroll in Truett Seminary’s Masters or Pastoral Studies Program • Availability for Sundays and Wednesday evenings. Terms of Employment: • A Criminal and Ministry Safe Background check will be required • Three references • Valid Drivers License • Probationary period of 90 days • Salary: $12,000 per year plus mileage
