Position Title: Interim Pastor Location: Laredo, TX Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until Permanent Pastor is Hired About Us: United Baptist Church is a welcoming and growing congregation located in Laredo, TX. We are a community of faith committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, dedicated to worship, service, and fellowship. As we seek a new permanent full-time pastor, we are in need of an interim pastor during this transitional period. Position Overview: The Interim Pastor will be responsible for leading worship services, preaching sermons, and providing basic pastoral care as needed during our search for a permanent pastor. This position is ideal for someone who has a heart for ministry and can offer spiritual leadership and encouragement to the congregation in the short term. Key Responsibilities: Preach biblically sound, engaging sermons during Sunday services in English (11:30 am) and/or Spanish (10:00 am) Lead worship services, including prayers, readings, and administration of sacraments Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation Work collaboratively with church leadership (elders, deacons, etc.) Qualifications: Ordained minister, bilingual (English and Spanish) Strong commitment to the Baptist faith and message Previous pastoral or pulpit supply experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to connect with a diverse congregation Hours and Compensation: Compensation to commensurate with experience.
