Now Accepting Applications Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital is seeking a full time Clinical Chaplain Resident to join our Spiritual Health Department as part of the Bon Secours St. Mary’s accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program. This residency provides intensive education, supervised clinical training, and hands on pastoral care experience in a leading regional medical center. About the Position Chaplain Residents: • Provide pastoral and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff • Serve assigned clinical areas and participate in rotating in house on call (nights, weekends, holidays) • Document care in medical records per department standards • Participate fully in all ACPE CPE educational requirements • Train under an ACPE Certified Educator & CPE Preceptor • Serve as temporary full time employees for the duration of the residency o Inaugural cohort runs through August 2027 Qualifications • Required: Master’s-level theological degree (or equivalent) from a school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or an M.Div. equivalent as defined by ACPE. o See ACPE FAQs: https://acpe.edu/education/cpe-students/faqs • Preferred: Completion of at least one unit of certified Clinical Pastoral Education. • Must submit a full ACPE application: https://www.mercy.com/about-us/careers/graduate-medical-education/locations/paducah/clinical-pastoral-education-program-at-lourdes-hospital Compensation • $47,000 annual stipend • Full benefits package included Application Process Applications will be reviewed once the full ACPE CPE application is received via email to Sejana.
