Student Ministries Pastor (Full Time) CBC Cleveland Calvary Baptist Church • Cleveland, Texas Position Overview The Student Ministries Pastor is responsible for leading and discipling students from 7th through 12th grade while helping carry out the vision of CBC Cleveland. This role exists to help students and parents become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ as Lord through biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, gospel-centered community, and faithful partnership with families. The Student Ministries Pastor will build upon an already healthy and growing ministry with strong volunteer leadership, a history of 50+ students, and a part time Youth Ministry Coordinator who provides administrative and planning support to the ministry. Love the Lost We live missionally through everyday Christian love and good deeds as neighbors, classmates, coworkers, and the hands and feet of Jesus through outreach and missions. We believe students who are loving God, loving each other, and loving the lost are growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. Preferred Qualifications College degree highly preferred Ability to speak Spanish is a significant benefit Technology-minded and technologically gifted preferred Experience leading and discipling students in a church setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills preferred THE HEART We are looking for someone who: Is DRIVEN to see students and parents become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ as Lord. Is passionate about seeing lives changed by the gospel and genuinely excited when people grow in their walk with Christ. Walks closely with Jesus on a daily basis and demonstrates spiritual maturity. Has the GRIT, initiative, and work ethic necessary to faithfully lead and get the job done. Can handle criticism with both a thick skin and a soft heart while remaining humble, gracious, and steadfast in leadership. Is unafraid to make necessary changes under the leadership and vision of the Senior Pastor. Leads with wisdom, conviction, humility, and courage. Is TEACHABLE and continually striving to become the best DISCIPLE OF CHRIST and DISCIPLE MAKER they can be. Works well with staff, volunteers, students, and families while strengthening a healthy and unified church culture. This is a full-time salaried position with compensation commensurate with education and ministry experience. The overall compensation package also includes a church-provided three-bedroom, two-bathroom parsonage with internet service included, as well as a generous retirement matching benefit.
