The Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church serves as the spiritual leader of the congregation and is responsible for guiding the church in worship, discipleship, pastoral care, and community engagement. This individual will preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, provide leadership for the church’s ministries and daily operations, and work collaboratively with deacons, ministry leaders, and committees to support the life and mission of the church. The pastor is expected to cultivate meaningful relationships within the congregation and surrounding community, provide pastoral care through counseling and visitation, and help develop a clear vision for spiritual growth, outreach, and long-term sustainability. The position also includes partnering with local ministries and organizations to strengthen community engagement and expand the church’s presence and impact in West Jackson.
