Selden Baptist Church – Pastor About the Church: Selden Baptist Church is located in a rural community just a few miles south of Stephenville, TX. The church has a long-standing history that started in back in 1881. The present day members of the church are proud and grateful of our heritage. We are a loving church that looks to serve the Lord and each other. Role of the Pastor: Selden Baptist Church is seeking to fill the position of Pastor with a loving man of God. The pastor will be responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament Church. In addition, the pastor will lead church officers, staff, and organizations in order to accomplish the mission of the church. Qualifications: • Exhibits biblical qualities of pastor (1 Timothy 3:1-7) • Mature in church leadership and leading others • Ability to be an active participant in all church activities • Ordained minister or candidate for ordination • Seminary degree preferred Responsibilities: • Plan and conduct all regularly scheduled and special services of worship • Conduct youth and children’s sermons • Secure needed pulpit supply when absent • Active in Sunday school and Bible studies • Provide support and leadership to Sunday school officers, teachers and other staff • Hold a regular schedule of office hours • Active in visitation and ministering to all age groups in the community • Lead and assist in all outreach efforts • Participate in church committees as requested (non-voting member)
