Park Meadows Church, Waxahachie, Texas, is currently searching for a Sr. Pastor. Our congregation consists primarily of devoted Baby Boomers and Gen Xers who are deeply committed to the church and have a heartfelt desire to attract and nurture young families within the community. We are located in the rapidly expanding north Waxahachie area of Ellis County, the 8th-fastest-growing county in the United States1. The church has progressed over the past 40 years with a strong emphasis on God’s grace, through faith in Jesus, as the only avenue to salvation. Job Duties: • Provide mentorship to ministry staff and leaders. • Work with staff and leadership to strategize and implement a vision and strategic plan for the church’s growth and leadership development. • Support and equip members of the congregation to feel connected and empowered to discover where they can serve within the church and community. • Promote and engage in community outreach and assistance efforts. • Perform other pastoral duties such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate Qualities aligned with the following: • A mature Christian believer, with deep, demonstrable faith, called by God to enter the ministry; • A competent speaker who “gets” that grace is the mechanism by which God, because of his love, saves us; • Someone who seeks open, timely, and accurate communication using love, kindness, and compassion as a priority. Resolves conflict in a Christ-like manner; • Humble and approachable. A thoughtful person interested in the personal lives and well being of the entire congregation; • A person with a passion to make pastoral visits (i.e., hospital, home, healthcare facilities, etc.); • If married, one should prioritize their spouse over the church, with their spouse wholeheartedly supporting their ministry. Together, they should value church social activities above competing community events. General Job Qualifications: • Higher Education preferred.
