The Student Director coordinates the students (youth) ministry of Anchor Fellowship Church Granbury. The Student Director reports to the Executive Pastor.
+ Essential Job Functions
General Expectations:
Mission, Vision and Values: Will maintain theological alignment with the mission, vision and values of Anchor Fellowship Church and be willing to become an active church partner. Will see themselves and operate as an owner of our mission, vision and values
Prayer: Will devote themselves in prayer for our students, families and ministries
Teach God’s Word / Build Disciples: Will meet students where they are at, sharing the message of God’s saving grace through Jesus Christ in a way they can connect with. Provide avenues not just for information, but transformation in the lives of our students in a safe and welcoming environment
Position Details: Student ministry, 6th grade - 12th grade
Presence: Will be present for Sunday worship, staff meetings and special events as appropriate
Finance: Will maintain budgets for our student ministry alongside our Executive pastor (XP) and financial secretary
Leadership and Volunteering: Will nurture and expand our student leadership and adult volunteer base. Will also train and ensure Ministry Safe compliance of both alongside the XP
Service: Will identify and engage our students in missional/service opportunities, including but not limited to our annual summer mission trip
Events: Will plan, prepare and lead student events alongside our Student Leadership team
+ Education and Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent
University degree is preferred but not required if verifiable experience working with adolescents/teens exceeds 3 years.
Experience in communicating with students and families with the care needed to facilitate a fruitful ministry.
Experience inspiring and coordinating volunteers to reach, serve, and share

Part time position
Flexible weekday schedule
One paid continuing education unit per year
+ Working Conditions
Ability to work remotely. Location of ministry activities varies depending on the week and season. Need for ministry resources and tools to complete job tasks must be communicated, but will be covered by Anchor.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The nature of this position requires additional setup and tear down for all ministry activities.
+ Workplace Policies and Agreements
Must pass a Criminal Background check and Ministry Safe Training assessment before official start date
At least one unit of continuing education required per year
+ Evaluation and Review
Annual performance/Ministry Impact Review with the Executive Pastor
