Following the honorable retirement of our long-term pastor, we are prayerfully seeking the man God has uniquely prepared, anointed, and called to lead us into our next chapter of kingdom impact. We are looking for a visionary leader with a fresh, anointed perspective—someone who will faithfully preach the Word of God, love our people, and actively bridge the church and the surrounding Bryan/College Station community. Core Responsibilities & Vision • Anointed Preaching & Teaching: Deliver compelling, culturally relevant, biblically sound sermons that feed the flock, challenge believers, and invite the unchurched into a relationship with Christ. • Church Revitalization: Partner with church leadership to build a strategic vision for congregational growth, spiritual depth, and financial health. • Community Outreach & Engagement: Capitalize on our strategic location to design outreach initiatives that meet the physical and spiritual needs of the local neighborhood and the broader Bryan/College Station area. • Discipleship & Leadership Development: Cultivate a culture of mentorship and discipleship, empowering members to discover their spiritual gifts and serve the body of Christ. • Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate shepherd-leadership through visitation, counseling, prayer, and life-cycle events (weddings, funerals, baptisms). The Ideal Candidate • A Shepherd’s Heart: Demonstrates a genuine love for people, high emotional intelligence, and a humble, approachable leadership style. • Passion for Revitalization: Possesses a proven track record or a distinct calling toward church revitalization and bringing fresh momentum to an established congregation. • Community-Minded: Energetic about community outreach and capable of building strategic partnerships outside the church walls. • Theologically Sound: Firmly rooted in Baptist doctrine and traditions, with the ability to contextualize timeless truths for today's generation.
