Responsibilities • Plan and coordinate music for all worship services, holidays, special events and other church activities as assigned. • Lead (through collaboration with pastors) meaningful and vita worship services and experiences. • Lead and conduct weekly rehearsals and worship services with choir and instrumentalists. • Select hymns and other musical pieces that align with the liturgy and service focus. • Develop and manage the music ministry budget collaboratively with Worship Committee and Pastors. • Serve as Saff Liaison of the Worship Committee • Develop and lead the Music Ministries Committee and work with committee chairperson, Church Pastors and / or Church Administrator to support purpose and responsibilities of the Musci Ministries Committee. • Attend weekly staff and worship planning meetings. • Participate in worship planning with pastors. This cooperative planning will outline all scripture, music and spiritual focus for all worship services. • Support church wide children VBS music programing (VBS, etic.) • Conduct and lead varied musical groups (Chancel choir, soloists, special small groups, band, and piano/organ, children, youth, etc.) • Attend and participate in. weekly staff meetings • Work collaboratively and meet regularly with Worship Leader with ongoing communication and planning • Maintain and manage the church’s music library and equipment • Recruit, welcome, and nurture members for all music ministry areas (choral groups, instrument groups, bells, etc.) • Organize music related workshops, retreats and other possible educational opportunities • Annually evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the Music Ministry programming offerings, participation, etc. This should be done in collaboration with the Musci Ministries Committee, church pastors and / or Church Administrator • Work collaboratively, with accompanists, worship staff and volunteers, • Provide spiritual leadership through prayer and pastoral care within all areas of the music ministry programs.
