Hackberry Creek Church (HCC) is seeking a Director of Children’s Ministry to lead and coordinate all regularly scheduled programs and other events for children that they may grow in their love for Jesus Christ. This exciting role seeks to equip families with children through fifth grade to know Jesus and raise lifelong disciples who are in fellowship with multicultural, intergenerational Christians throughout the church. * Children’s Ministry Leadership: With guidance from Senior Pastor, sets direction of children’s ministry in alignment with HCC’s mission. * Sunday Ministry: Manages Sunday ministries, such as the nursery, children’s Sunday school, and Children’s Worship. * Volunteer/Staff Management: Recruits, trains, schedules, and supports teachers, nursery workers, and others involved in HCC’s children’s ministry. * Curriculum and Programming: Selects age-appropriate Bible lessons and supports Sunday ministry teachers & volunteers. Aligns children’s programs with the overall vision of the church. * Safety and Compliance: Enforces strict child protection policies and ensures background checks for staff and volunteers. * Parent and Family Communication: Builds relationships with parents and caregivers, equipping them to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. Manages events for families, caregivers, parents, and children. Keeps parents updated on events and policies. * VBS: Facilitates Vacation Bible School, including curriculum implementation, volunteers, and communications. * Administrative Duties: Manages the department budget and orders classroom supplies.
