Parent Engagement and Family Ministry • Foster strong partnerships between the church and families in the spiritual formation of children and resource parents to make disciples in the home. • Provide regular communication regarding ministry activities, curriculum, and spiritual development opportunities. • Discover and/or develop take-home resources, discussion guides, and family faith-building materials. Volunteer Recruitment and Development • Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers for all aspects of children's ministry. • Create clear expectations, orientation processes, and ongoing training opportunities. • Foster a culture of encouragement, support, and teamwork among ministry volunteers. Ministry Programming and Administration • Ensure programs are developmentally appropriate and aligned with the ministry's discipleship goals. • Coordinate ministry schedules, budgets, and facilities usage including classrooms and resource room. • Plan strategically so lessons, events, worship experiences, and activities reinforce common biblical themes. Outreach and Community Building • Develop strategies to welcome and connect new families into church life. • Lead outreach initiatives that engage children and families within the community. • Foster relationships among children, parents, grandparents, volunteers, youth, and the broader church family. • Build a culture of hospitality where every family feels known, valued, and connected. • Strengthen relationships across generations within the congregation. Leadership Development and Church Integration • Working with the Pastor and Minister of Music and Worship, create opportunities for children to participate in worship and church life through prayer, Scripture reading, testimony sharing, service, and leadership roles. • Help children understand their value and role within the church body. • Coordinate with Youth Ministry, Preschool/Nursery Ministry, and other church ministries to ensure smooth transitions and ministry alignment. Qualifications Spiritual Qualifications • Possesses a clear calling to children's ministry. • Demonstrates a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. • Exhibits spiritual maturity and a commitment to biblical principles. • Affirms and supports the mission, vision, and doctrinal beliefs of First Baptist Church.
