First Baptist Church of Longmont is seeking its next pastor. FBC Longmont is a strong, stable church with its building located in the heart of the city of Longmont, a block from a lively and attractive downtown business district. The congregation has a strong history of stable leadership, devotion to one another, and love for the community around them. Longmont is a community of a little over 100,000 people. It is located in the Front Range of Colorado, in the 1-25 corridor. It is a half hour’s drive from Boulder, CO, a little bit further to the heart of Denver, CO or Fort Collins, CO. First Baptist is a faith community that is committed to growing deeper in the love of Christ and neighbor and expressing that through meaningful worship. It is a church that is committed to knowing and living under the authority of Scripture. FBC Longmont is eager for its next leader to guide them into being a congregation that effectively reaches out to their community, leading persons to faith in Christ and commitment to their church. Current worship attendance is around 45-50. The church is open to either a full-time pastor or a committed bivocational leader. In order to be a good fit, the next pastor of FBC Longmont should be a spiritual leader, adept in pastoral care, a skilled communicator, gifted teaching the Word of the Lord, and helping people relate their Christian faith to their everyday life and life together. The next pastoral leader should also be an organizational leader that is adept at growing the church, sharing the faith, and equipping others to do the same. They should have a passion for quality worship and preaching meaningful sermons.
