Position Summary ---------------------- The Minister to Young Adults & Missions provides pastoral leadership to Brookwood Baptist Church by cultivating a ministry for young adults while leading the church to actively participate in God's mission locally, nationally, and globally. This minister creates environments where young adults are discipled, connected in authentic Christian community, equipped for leadership, and encouraged to live out their faith through service and mission. As a member of the pastoral staff, this individual works collaboratively with church leadership to advance Brookwood's mission by developing disciples, strengthening partnerships, equipping volunteers, and providing opportunities for the entire congregation to participate in the Great Commission. Personal & Spiritual Expectations ----------------------------------------- Demonstrate a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ; affirm the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message; maintain personal Bible study, prayer and worship; model the Fruit of the Spirit; practice healthy rhythms of ministry; maintain ministerial integrity; faithfully support Brookwood through worship, discipleship, stewardship, outreach and missions; demonstrate a passion for evangelism and disciple-making. Essential Responsibilities ------------------------------- Young Adult Ministry: Provide vision and leadership for a comprehensive ministry including regular gatherings, Sunday School, discipleship, mentoring, pastoral care, leadership development, college student connections, retreats, conferences, and integration with the life of Brookwood Baptist Church. Missions Ministry: Work alongside the ministerial staff and Missions Coordinating Team to cast vision and implement missional strategies; cultivate ministry partnerships including True Vine; recruit and equip volunteers; coordinate local mission opportunities and international trips; communicate ministry impact; assist all age-level ministries in making missions a priority. Leadership & Administration: Participate in staff meetings, collaborate with ministry leaders, steward ministry budgets, support assigned ministry teams, and perform other duties assigned by the Senior Pastor. Qualifications ----------------- Bachelor's degree required; seminary training preferred. Experience in young adult ministry, discipleship, or missions. Strong biblical teaching, relational leadership, volunteer development, organizational skills, and a shepherd's heart. Work Schedule ------------------ Full-time pastoral position requiring evenings, weekends, retreats, conferences, and occasional domestic and international travel.
