Atascocita Methodist Church is a growing suburban church in Northeast Houston. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and families by leading people to live, love, and serve like Jesus. We are seeking a part-time Contemporary Worship Leader who is passionate about both leading worship and building a thriving worship ministry. This position is responsible for planning and leading worship for our contemporary service while recruiting, developing, and investing in musicians and vocalists who will help advance the church's mission. The ideal candidate will enjoy building something from the ground up, fostering authentic worship, and creating a healthy team culture centered on spiritual growth and excellence. Responsibilities include collaborating with the pastoral staff to plan worship services, selecting music, preparing worship media using ProPresenter, communicating through Planning Center, leading weekly rehearsals, and developing volunteers into confident ministry leaders. To be successful in this position, the applicant must profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, be committed to personal spiritual growth and a healthy lifestyle, and embrace this role as a ministry rather than simply a musical position. Prior experience leading worship is preferred. Familiarity with Planning Center and ProPresenter is strongly preferred. This is a flexible part-time position of approximately 15–25 hours per week. Responsibilities, hours, and compensation will be tailored to the candidate's experience, availability, and desired level of investment in the ministry.
